What means you have gone too far?
Check for:
- humidity remaining above the species range instead of following its expected cycle;
- persistently wet substrate, pooled water or a soaked hide;
- mould, surface growth or an abnormal stale odour;
- heavy condensation together with out-of-range readings;

Restore the last known safe setup and add ventilation as the enclosure and species guidance permit. Clean using a reptile-safe product exactly as labelled, then rinse and dry as directed. Do not mix disinfectants.
Whistling, gasping, open-mouth breathing, unusual weakness, repeated abnormal posture, persistent poor sheds or a sudden behaviour change need prompt assessment by a reptile-experienced veterinarian. Handle humid equipment hygienically
